grounds, located in over fifty acres of mature land, offer a
variety of clay shooting layouts to satisfy everyone from the
most discerning clay pigeon shooter to the absolute beginner.
Clay Shooting for Beginners and Novice Shooters
have four Scottish Clay Target Association (SCTA) qualified
shooting instructors on-site to provide training for novice clay
pigeon shooters and
those who want to learn to clay pigeon shoot for the first time.
With shooting stands specifically designed for beginners, you will
feel part of the action but will progress at a pace that suits you.
All beginners and novice shooters MUST pre-book.
a variety of clay pigeon shooting layouts suitable for the more
experienced shooters. Whether you are a clay pigeon shooter who
wants some practice or a game shooter looking for clay pigeon targets
that simulate those in the field, we have it covered!
Offering a range of clay pigeon targets from high and low traps,
this discipline challenges your ability to move quickly between
differing targets. With simulated rising, settling and
crossing targets up to five shooters can shoot this layout at a
mini sporting layout is unique to Foymore Lodge. With targets presented just
above ground level, this is a fast moving discipline where up to
four shooters compete in a squad.
High TowerAs the name
suggests, the High Tower at Foymore Lodge offers a variety of simulated high
birds. The targets are released from a specially commissioned trap located
on our recently extended
high tower and simulate high driven pheasant and crossing pigeon. The
nature of the trap ensures that no two targets are thrown the same.
Sporting LayoutThis layout is
designed primarily for the more experienced shooter and is another feature not
to be missed. An ideal layout to practice for sporting competitions or for
clubs or individuals who interested in simulated field shooting.
Designed to be shot by two partnering guns, shooters are thrown a
range of targets on the initial 'pull' command. Timing is key
here and it is up to the shooters to make every shot count in this
pigeon shooting layouts at Foymore Lodge are available for use by those with a
valid Fire Arms Certificate (FAC) for the shotgun they are permitted to use under
the terms of grant of the FAC.
ALL THOSE WHO WISH TO

MUST NOT BE CONSIDERED A PROHIBITED PERSON
